Umm… let me start over. I’m a Graphic Artist living in Reading, PA, and working about 30 miles west of Philadelphia. Art for me began at an early age and I discovered computer art and design in high school and haven’t looked back. But I also love picking up a camera and working hands-on in the darkroom.
In 2004, after graduating from Muhlenberg High School, I enrolled in the Graphic Design/Visual Communications program at Millersville University in Lancaster, PA. Most of my classes were print-based work, with little to offer in web media and design. So I decided to pick up some books and teach myself. There’s nothing more frustrating to me than working on coding HTML and CSS and having to tweak it for all browsers, but there’s also nothing more rewarding once it works. It’s that payoff in the end that keeps me coming back to it.
Spare Time
I have spare time? Sometimes I feel like I have no social life, but when I do have spare time I do as much as I can, which seems almost oxymoron-ish. Music is a huge passion of mine, particularly guitar. I love to just sit and play for as long as possible. Just recently I picked up a new hobby of refinishing an old electric guitar and it’s very relaxing.
